Why We Use Dumbbells in THE THICK CHICKS HOME WORKOUT PROGRAM

why we use dumbbells in the thick chicks home workout programDumbbells (free weights) are easy to learn how to use, and can be incorporated into dozens of exercises to strengthen and tone every muscle in your body. Dumb bells can duplicate natural movements used in sports and the activities of daily living.

Dumbbells use one limb at a time to perform exercises, which means you get stronger faster and burn more calories. Since dumb bells come in weights as low as 1/2 lb., anyone can use dumb bells to improve their body.

From my experience, any woman over the age of 30 that wants to look her best must work out with weights.

How Does This Program Work?

THICK CHICKS uses a training technique known as "circuit training" which works your entire body in a dynamic fashion. The fast pace and constantly changing workouts provide a different type of stimulus to the body and keeps you from getting bored with your workouts.

The circuit training format traditionally utilizes 6-10 exercise "stations" where you complete one exercise right after the other at heart thumping intensity. Thick Chicks circuits exercise your abs, legs, back, shoulders, arms, chest, and butt every workout for maximum effectiveness in minimum time!

I am also a thick or curvy girl who has always struggled mentally with being curvy…from not being one of the “popular girls” when I was younger b/c of my weight, to guys making comments about the size of my boobs in junior high, to my mother calling me fat growing up, to the media portraying a body type that I’ve really only fully realized recently is PhotoShopped more often than not.

"Wish I'd Started Sooner!"
